Movie fans are waiting with seriously bated breath for the upcoming release of Avengers Assemble, an ensemble superhero adventure flick which brings together some of the best loved Marvel Comics characters for what is sure to be one seriously fun action romp. The film is due to go on general release in the UK on the 26th April, so the promotional tour for the movie is in full swing. A group of the lead actors was spotted earlier in the week posing for cameras in Moscow at the movie’s Russian premiere.
Directed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Joss Whedon, who also wrote the screenplay, the story line is set to bring together some of the big screen’s best loved comic characters including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), and the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
The super human heroes will have to work together to save the world from the threat of certain peril at the hands of Loki, Thor’s evil nemesis who also just so happens to be his adoptive brother. Bet that’s going to make for awkward family get-togethers at Thor’s house from now on!
