Funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen made quite the entrance on the red carpet at the London premiere of his latest film “The Dictator” last night. Appearing in character as the film’s main protagonist Admiral General Aladeen, the British comedian arrived on the red carpet in a bright orange Lamborghini sports car being towed by a truck.
As if that in itself wasn’t attention-grabbing enough, the actor (who was in full fancy dress complete with fake beard) was also accompanied on the red carpet by a bevvy of beautiful women dressed in skimpy military fancy dress and sporting red berets. To top off his outrageous outfit, Cohen then pulled out a gold coloured replica gun and started brandishing it at onlookers.
If Baron Cohen’s previous comic creations are anything to go by, The Dictator is sure to be chock full of moments that tickle both your funny bone and your cringe reflex. It remains to be seen whether Admiral General Aladeen will prove as popular as Ali G or Borat, but we wont have to wait long to find out. The film goes on general release in the UK on the 16th May.
