Are you sitting comfortably? Then we will begin…..Starting from January 26th the Society of for Storytelling is holding their National Storytelling Week. It is a chance for schools and nurseries, clubs and groups to gather all their students and members together to make time for some storytelling. Events are being held up and down the country featuring storytelling, treasure hunts and theatre performances.
Schools and clubs that wish to get involved could ask the children what their favourite stories are, ask them to dress up as a character and read a chapter from their favourite book. It is a great way to encourage children to read and enjoy books as well as having fun by dressing up.
