Fancy dress accessories for sports fans

Fancy Dress AccessoriesThis weekend saw a hive of sporting events taking place including The British Open, The Tour De France and The Ashes as well as the beginning of the Olympic Anniversary Games. The golf was held over a four day period in Muirfirld, Scotland and was won by American Phil Mickleson. The final race of The Tour de France was completed this weekend seeing Britain’s Chris Froome take the yellow jersey. The Ashes continues with the next stage being held at Lords and the Olympic excitement will be reignited this weekend with the start of the Anniversary Games taking place.

One thing all these sporting events have in common is fancy dress! It was great to see a mix of Fancy Dress Accessories being worn by spectators and sporting fans across all the events. Just for fun or in support of their favourite sporting star, it is a sure fire way to get yourself noticed and more than likely your 5 minutes of fame on the TV!

A group of fans at The Open were spotted wearing comedy animal masks including an eagle and a horse, and of course lots of tiger fancy dress costumes in honour of the great Tiger Woods. The Tour De France saw a selection of great fancy dress costumes with fans wearing Viking helmets and dressing up as superheroes, vicars and even kangaroos!

One other great sporting event taking place is The Ashes. Cricket is normally a great place for fans to dress up and have fun but sadly, Lords have banned fancy dress for this event. Such a shame but it appears that the cricket fans seem to be in agreement and are happy with this decision.

But if you are attending a sporting event this summer, and you are allowed to wear fancy dress it is a great way to show your support for your favourite team player. With lots of costumes to choose from you can help your team along by cheering them on, so come take a look at some fantastic costumes and Fancy Dress Accessories.
