Twilight television?

Vampire CoatFollowing on from our blog about Robert ‘Edward Cullen’ Pattinsons hair cut furore, we’ve got some good news this time to cheer up any sullen Cullen fans out there. It’s been reported that Summit Entertainment, the production company responsible for bringing the Twilight books to the big screen, has been taken over by the Lionsgate film studio.

Why is this good news for Twilight fans you say? Well, as it stands at the moment, fans were gearing up to say goodbye to the Twilight saga when the fifth and final movie hits cinemas in November. However, it now seems that perhaps Breaking Dawn Part 2 will not necessarily be the end of the road for the Twilight Saga. Lionsgate, no doubt keen to extend the life of what has been an astoundingly successful franchise, are now rumoured to be looking at the possibility of bringing Twilight to the small screen in the form of a television show.

It’s fair to say that, with successful film careers stretching out ahead of them, it’s unlikely that Robert Pattinson and many of the principal actors from the films would be making the transition to the small screen were the Twilight telly show to get the green light. But still, for fans of the Saga  the thought that Twilight may well be carrying on in some form or other must surely be very welcome news indeed.
