According to reports winner of the BBC show to find a West End Star, Connie Fisher has had to pull out of the musical due to a throat condition. The show called How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? saw Connie win the coveted roll of Maria in The Sound of Music.
Connie went on to play the role at the London Palladium and reportedly received excellent reviews. She has allegedly been suffering from a throat condition for the last few months and has sadly had to take the decision to leave the roll.
It is reported that a replacement has been arranged but you never know. Do you fancy yourself as the ex nun Maria? Get yourself a Nuns Headress and make your way to the Royal Theatre, Newcastle to try your look.
The Sound of Music is a great musical to see and there is lots of audience participation and with so many Fancy Dress Hats and Fancy Dress Costumes available you will certainly luck the part.
