It was reported today that comedian Michael McIntyre is set to join the hit TV Show “Britains Got Talent” as a Judge alongside David Hasselhoff. When I read this report today I was absolutely delighted as Michael McIntyre is a brilliant comedian – He is so funny. Michael will certainly add the laughter to the show. Upstairs Downstairs is back
The classic 1970s period drama is set to return to our screens this Christmas. The original series, created from an idea by Jean Marsh & Eileen Atkins, was set in a large London townhouse during the First World War. The story is based on the lives of the servants living ‘downstairs’ and their masters living ‘upstairs’ at number 165 Eaton Place, and portrays how it was to live in an Edwardian townhouse during the events of the 20th century. Disneys new sequel Tron
It was reported today that the new Disney sequel called Tron is costing around $170m dollars. It was really interesting to read that Tron started in 1982 as an Arcade game. Allegedly one reported stated “the original 1982 version flopped but has gained cult-like, nostalgic respect over the years, kind of like the 8-bit commodore 64. I used to have a commodore 64 and they were great, however the days of waiting 30 min’s for the game to load using the tape drive have long gone, it’s all disks now which load almost instantly. Water For Elephants Trailer Released
It has been reported that a trailer for new film Water For Elephants starring Robert Pattinson and Resse Witherspoon has been shown. The film, set to be released in April 2011, sees Pattinson playing a veterinary student who abandons his studies and joins a travelling circus as their vet.
The love story is allegedly based on a historical novel by Sara Green, and sees the lead character protecting the circus animals, including an elephant called Rosie, from the head trainer. Continue reading
Ice & Snow is set to return
Temperatures have dropped throughout the UK this week and reports show that the snow & ice spells are set to return. The Met Office are issuing weather warnings across the country and have allegedly said that Scotland & Northern Ireland could expect to see up to 8 inches of snow in the next few days.
It has been reported that there is an ‘Icy Blast’ on the way and this will make the driving conditions hazardous so it has been suggested that people try & stay at home as much as possible. The Arctic Air blowing in will make it feel especially cold so wrap up warm. Continue reading
