This weekend saw a hive of sporting events taking place including The British Open, The Tour De France and The Ashes as well as the beginning of the Olympic Anniversary Games. The golf was held over a four day period in Muirfirld, Scotland and was won by American Phil Mickleson. The final race of The Tour de France was completed this weekend seeing Britain’s Chris Froome take the yellow jersey.
