I can remember as a little girl how much i loved to dress up as a princess. There are many fancy dress costumes for adults and children to dress up in to become a princess. Many of which come in the form of Disney princesses such as the beautiful golden ball dress Belle has on in Beauty and the Beast and Snow White with the yellow and blue dress.
However there are many other styles of princess dress on the market, which are just as beautiful as the Disney styled fancy dress costumes. The Dress
This must be chosen very carefully. Most little girls love pink and lilac so if you choose a princess dress in one of these colours you should be well on your way. You can get them in velvety feeling materials, these are generally dresses which depict a historical style dress such as a medieval dress. You can also get silky looking dresses which are more your cartoon/book styled princess dresses. I love the princess dresses you can get for children with hoops in them to make them puff out they are so pretty and this is the style i loved as a child.
The Tiara
Of course a princess must have a tiara/crown to go with the pretty dress and these generally come in plastic in silvers and gold’s with plastic jewels on them or marabou trim, the marabou trims tend to come in white, pink and lilac.
The Makeup
All princesses must have beautiful makeup. Now of course you could let the children use your makeup however you may not have much left by the time they have finished caking it on he he!!
