There are so many fancy dress costumes to choose from when going to a fancy dress costume party or night out. Some parties are themed and some give you free reign to be as imaginative or conservative with your fancy dress costume choice as you wish. Some fancy dress costumes require more than just the costume but need accessories and makeup. Below gives you the items you may need to complete the look of becoming a clown. All you need to do is decide if you will be a funny and nice clown or mwahahahahah and evil Halloween clown.
The costume
Most Clown Fancy Dress costumes are really brightly coloured in reds, greens, blues and yellows and come in various styles including hooped costumes but the jumpsuit style is easy to wear because of course being comfortable in what you wear is a must.
The Accessories
The main accessories you will need are the crazy clown shoes which will generally fit over your own shoes, you can get these in plastic with hard bottoms or rubber. Though you are best not to try running as you may do a real clown move!! You will also need the curly wig, these come in many colours so you can get one to match the main colour of the costume you are wearing, however why not go with a rainbow colour wig because clowns tend to be multi coloured. Other little accessories which will be fun are large clown bowties and why not choose one that sprays water or a squirt flower.
The face makeup
This is the main part of a clown of course. The big smiley face is essential, of course how you do the makeup will decide if you are a good or bad clown. Make sure you have some clown white. As this is the main colour you use and is the base of the makeup you can get a white that is called clown white specifically for this. Generally reds and blues are traditional for making up the eyes and painting that big smile on your face but of course go with what colours you want for this. Do not forget that finishing touch of the red nose. You could paint this on your own nose but to have the finished look perfect the red sponge or plastic nose cannot be beaten.
